What's all this about?
It might not be the world's best-kept secret, but Mercedes-Benz has revealed some more details of its forthcoming S-Class Cabriolet, which is due to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
What do we know about it now?
Mercedes-Benz is remaining relatively tight-lipped about mechanical elements of the car but we have learned that it should at least be a very comfortable cabrio to waft around in thanks to some clever climate control and luxuries on board.
How clever?
Well, Mercedes-Benz is calling it the Aircap and it seems to have been designed to act very much like an invisible roof to protect the occupants from any unwanted air turbulence in the cabin when the roof is down.
What else will it have?
Being an S-Class, luxury is the name of the game here, so passengers will all benefit from heated seats. Front passengers will also get the Mercedes-Benz Airscarf system, which blows warm air onto the neck and shoulders of passengers through in-seat ventilation outlets. On top of that the new cabriolet will feature heated armrests. All of this combines to make what Mercedes-Benz claims will be the most comfortable cabriolet in the world.
