What's all this about?
Skoda has its sights on the company car market with the announcement of the SE Business trim level for the new Superb. Priced from £21,590 it comes with a range of extra features at no additional cost over the SE model. Deliveries of the new Superb range are due to start later this year.
What do you get?
The main visible change is the addition of tinted 'sunset glass' from the B-pillar back though buyers also get parking sensors front and rear. On the inside, Alcantara upholstery and an Amundsen touchscreen satellite navigation system are fitted as standard. As well as providing navigation information through a 6.5-inch colour touchscreen the system incorporates Bluetooth and SmartLink to integrate mobile phone functions. Skoda also includes the Drive mode selection, allowing the driver to choose Eco, Sport or Normal driving profiles. From mid-2016 the Superb SE Buisiness will also feature wireless mobile phone charging and an enhanced mobile signal.
These features come on top of the current SE specification, which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone air conditioning and adaptive cruise control.
What's under the bonnet?
A choice of 1.6- or 2.0-litre diesel power is available with 120- or 150hp respectively. Both engines can be ordered with DSG automatic transmission for an extra £1,400. An economy-focused GreenLine model will join the range later and is expected to achieve 76.4mpg on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 95g/km.
